Nathaniel Foster

4th generation family member


Nathaniel is a 4th generation member of a five-generation family office and has served as a Board member since 2010 and actively involved in both the investment and governance roles. He is a dedicated single father to his four year old son, who is one of the 8 current members of the families 5th generation. 


He graduated from the University of Denver with a BS in business and also has his Master’s in Non-Profit Leadership from Seattle University.


Nathaniel has had over two decades of experience in the non-profit Development and Management world, working with local, national, and international organizations. Nathaniel is currently the Chief Growth Officer at World Savvy, a national education based non-profit. His last role before taking this position was Chief Advancement Officer at Seneca Family of Agencies. He focused on development, fundraising, venture philanthropy, marketing and branding for the whole organization. 

Prior to Seneca, Nathaniel was the Northern California Executive Director of Playworks, a national nonprofit that serves over 700,000 children every school day, concentrating on conflict resolution, leadership skills, emotional intelligence and increased physical activity for elementary schools throughout the country. 


In addition, he sits on three for-profit Boards, two non-profit Boards and is a member of the San Francisco Chapter of the Private Asset Liaison Group.



Kirby Rosplock

Founder and CEO, Tamarind Partners, Inc.


Kirby is the founder of Tamarind Partners, Inc., a leading family office consultancy named 2019 Best Family Office Management Consultancy and Best Family Wealth Counseling by the Family Wealth Report. Kirby is recognized by her peers as an innovator, trusted advisor, lauded author, and world-renowned speaker in the family business and family office domains.  Born into a complex enterprising family, Kirby understands first-hand being a beneficial owner, inheritor, fiduciary, and an operator.


Kirby combines her life experiences with her passions for research, client advisory, and her love of writing, which have culminated in many articles, research studies, and books including The Complete Family Office Handbook and The Complete Direct Investing Handbook. Kirby received honors including the prestigious Family Wealth Industry Thought Leadership award in 2018 from the Family Wealth Alliance, and the Richard Beckhard Practice award for life-time achievement and outstanding contributions to family business practice from the Family Firm Institute (FFI) in 2018.


Kirby earned her undergraduate degree from Middlebury College, MBA from Marquette University, and PhD from Saybrook University. For more than 20 years, she has worked in the world of finance, family wealth, and family business, including working in the securities industry for a broker-dealer and more than a decade in a prominent multi-family office as the head of Research and Development. Kirby is Dean of Family Office at the Purposeful Planning Institute, a Fellow and Family Governance Faculty of the FFI GEN Program, co-trustee of the Harbeck Family Foundation, and currently serves on the advisory board of Merton Venture Philanthropy and on the board of directors of Hope Trust. 


Patricia Armstrong

Family Wealth Consultant & Family Leadership Coach


As an advisor to families of wealth, family leaders, and family offices Pat provides coaching and consultation on effective communication about wealth and its impact on family dynamics, engagement with the rising generation of family leaders, governance and decision-making in family business, and vision and mission planning for family philanthropy and family enterprise. 

 

Pat was a co-founder and senior director of the Institute for Family Culture with Abbot Downing, Wells Fargo’s multi-family office and was head of Family Dynamics at Wells Fargo Family Wealth. She was the human resources director for Wells Fargo’s Private Bank and held a series of management roles focused on developing talent.

 

In her earliest professional life, Pat was an independent management consultant to family businesses and nonprofit organizations, a faculty member in psychology and a mental health program director. 

 

Pat holds a doctoral degree in psychology and a certificate in executive coaching from Columbia University.  She is a member of the Family Firm Institute (FFI), the American Psychological Association (APA) and serves on the Advisory Board of the Global Family Office Community.


Linda Mack

Founder and President, Mack International, LLC


Linda Mack is the Founder and President of Mack International LLC (www.mackinternational.com), the premier boutique firm that specializes in providing C-suite retained executive search and strategic human capital consulting solutions to family office, investment firm and enterprise clients on an international basis. Clients range from first generation business owning wealth creators through multi-generational families of six or more generations. Clients also include multi-client family offices and select wealth and investment management firms who serve family offices.


Prior to founding Mack International in 2002, Linda was a Partner in the Global Financial Services Practice of TMP Worldwide, where she was responsible for executive search assignments across a wide range of wealth and investment management functions. 


Linda brings more than twenty-five years of combined family office/wealth management, human resources management and financial services experience to each client assignment.  Her background includes executive and management positions at Harris Bank/Bank of Montreal and The Northern Trust Bank.  


Linda received her M.B.A. in finance and accounting, from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University.  She also studied at Franklin University Switzerland as an undergraduate. 


Linda is a frequent speaker at family office conferences on a global basis and is recognized as a thought leader in the family office industry. Linda is a Fellow of the Family Firm Institute (FFI) and holds the Advanced Certificate in Family Wealth Advising (ACFWA) from FFI.


Negin Bemanzadeh

Founder & CEO, EEE Corp Group


Negin is the founder of EEE Corporate Group of companies and she runs her own partner owned advisory and family office in The City of London. She founded EEE in 2012 and July same year was awarded her first mandate by the Chairman of European Venture Capital Association. Three years later, she had turned EEE into a UK & US domicile corporation with 11 people onboard also home to talented UK and US Graduates who were seeking secondment and hands on training in London. Before she knew it, EEE was recognized as an accredited training provider by Foreign International Education and was servicing prestigious institutions across the UK and the US.


She was interviewed by who’s who magazine in 2012. Was interviewed by Spears Wealth Magazine Oct 2015.  And was interviewed by BBC Correspondent in London as a woman influencer in 2018. Negin then was awarded British Community Honours Awards in Oct 2019 at the House of Lords for her services to British Community and Financial services.

Additionally, Negin mentors women in banking and finance while continuing to speak at various Leadership events and global conferences. Negin also provides regular lectures on Alternative Investments and Turnaround Strategies as part of her pro-bono activities.


Negin is multi-based and resides both in the UK and the US. She runs a highly experienced and successful team of experts that delivers on very short turnaround timescales while operating on three different time zones. 


Suzanne Hammer

Founder, Hammer & Associates


Suzanne Hammer is the founder of Hammer & Associates, a global philanthropy advisory firm based in the Denver, Colorado area. Suzanne has worked with both large and small family foundations, family offices, and enterprises for more than a decade. She has launched and managed private foundations and corporate giving programs; facilitated impactful strategy, governance, and grantmaking; led processes to engage the next generation; and connected funders in strengthening the communities and issues they care about. 


In 2019, Suzanne directed the launch of The Sandgaard Foundation, a private Denver-based foundation aiming to band together with others to find and fund national solutions to the opioid crisis. Suzanne and team conducted a national needs assessment and published Funding Solutions to the Opioid Crisis to shape how funders can approach and participate in this issue area.


Suzanne co-produced Philanthropy in the Family Office: A Global Perspective, and has authored a series of toolkits for family offices called EngagedPhilanthropy™: A Family Office Guide to Meaningful Giving, including Laying the Groundwork; Balancing Passion and Strategy; Making the Most of Family Dynamics; and International Giving. 


Suzanne is a dedicated Rotarian and a backcountry skier who has polar-plunged into the icy waters of Antarctica (three times!) and lived to tell the tale. Speaking nationally and internationally, Suzanne takes a warm, sincere approach in sharing lessons learned as she guides others toward practicing philanthropy that is both meaningful and measurable. 


Kathleen Tepley

Kathleen J. Tepley is the Founder of Los Angeles Consulting Group (LACG), www.losangelesconsultinggroup.com, which specializes in business development advisory services to: professional service firms, family offices, city/municipalities, and Private Foundations.

Los Angeles Consulting Group strives to donate 30% of its resources to assist nonprofit and professional clients with a multitude of support services and targeted networking opportunities.  She volunteered on the Advisory Board for the Arthritis National Research Foundation for ten (10) years and now serves on the Advisory Committee, the Culver City Chamber of Commerce. From 2014 - 2017, her company managed & supported the Culver City Centennial Celebration, with 100 events in 12 months. She has been a leading member of ProVisor’s since 2004. And is an Leadership Board Member of the Exit Planning Institute for the Los Angeles Chapter and Conejo Valley Chapter.


Vasco Noya Di Lannoy

Investment executive for two single family offices (Sage Group Partners) and private investor. Invested $200MM in commercial and residential real estate, innovative companies and prominent investments funds, including several E.U. / U.S. based multi-properties, K1 Capital (enterprise software), Lyft, Thrive Market (eCommerce), BAM Ventures (consumer) and Piaggio SpA (automotive). Realised returns of 3.1x the capital invested. Board member for Obica Holdings (hospitality). 


Active donor to charitable and not-for-profit organizations, including the Make-A-Wish Foundation, St Jude Hospital and the UCLA Foundation.

Trish Botoff

Managing Principal, Botoff Consulting


Trish Botoff is the Managing Principal for Botoff Consulting, with she founded in 2014.  Working with families is a priority for Botoff Consulting, and the firm focuses on providing compensation and related HR consulting services to family offices, family business enterprises, family investment firms, and their philanthropic endeavors. We are the premier provider of compensation data and consulting services to the family office industry and lead family office compensation studies. 


Ms. Botoff has more than 20 years of professional experience, including ten years as a consultant working with public, private, and not-for-profit clients across North America.  She is a frequent speaker at family office events and family business conferences.  


Dr Jeremy Lurey

Dr. Jeremy Lurey is a Consultant with The Family Business Consulting Group.  Jeremy is a talented executive coach, business consultant, and family advisor who supports family offices and family businesses with the critical leadership and governance practices required to create more sustainable futures.  Over the past 25 years, he has served clients ranging from families of significant wealth to mid-market companies to Fortune 500 corporations.


Jeremy is passionate about helping established families create greater value for their shareholders and transition their businesses and transfer their wealth to the next generation.  He excels at supporting Baby Boomers transitioning into retirement and their NextGen successors accepting increased business and personal responsibilities.  Over the years, Jeremy has also supported siblings, cousins, married partners, and parents, along with their children, by regularly facilitating family forums and retreats, preparing family charters, and providing family counseling and coaching beyond his direct efforts to improve performance and produce better results in their businesses.

 

Jeremy is a proud husband, father, brother, son, and owner of 3 rescue dogs.  In addition to his role as a consultant, Jeremy frequently presents at professional conferences and seminars and has authored several publications on family business, succession planning, organization development, leadership, and family legacy.  His clients regularly acknowledge his ability to get them unstuck, act more “leader-like” and focus on what matters most in their lives.


Before joining FBCG, Jeremy worked at both PricewaterhouseCoopers and Andersen Consulting.  He also managed his own coaching and consulting practices where he has served clients of all sizes and across numerous industry sectors.
